Sculptural expressions of our mind’s eye. Meditate, reflect, journal and dive deep into output of the soul’s truest self - no judgement, no apologies.
Monday nights (4), March 23- April 13, 6-8:30pm
In this workshop of self-reflection, we will attempt to quiet the mind a little so that the creativity can hear the whispers from the soul. Spread over four weeks, the time between allows us to process the ideas that have come up and truly heed the call of our spirit.
We will work with found objects ( I have some to choose from), but likely you have already connected with an object and its in your possession already. Otherwise, go shopping! Thrift stores, antique shops and home goods stores have interesting things that will speak to you if they are meant to. We will work with epoxy clays, wire, paper clay, beads, paint and encaustic medium (beeswax with pigment in it). This is an assemblage project at its finest as you will learn to join elements that don’t have an obvious attachment possibility.
Supply list; 1 pack paper clay, 1 kit Apoxie Clay (colour of your choice- can be painted), found objects (for base etc). I will provide other adhesives, tools usage, paint, some rusty bits, and encaustic mediums.
